Takin' Care of Business

Esther's LTW was to become a Hall of Famer. She had skilled so well during highschool and college, she only had to get to work to achieve her platinum goal. Her repeated maternity leaves delayed her somewhat, but she finally made it in to work for her promotion. Now she just has to go in three times a week.

Amar, on the other hand, really wasn't progressing very fast in his military career. It seems that there is a bit of *lookism* in the military and with his looks, promotions came very slowly. So, after a family conference, it was decided that Amar should buy the Round Barn General Store. The family reasoned that Floyd could help him out there occasionally and, after spending some time there, Floyd agreed it was a good investment for the legacy.

Amar the proud proprietor...making good on Daddy-in-Law's money.

The only problem was...what what do do with Marsha? She couldn't be left alone at home if Amar and Floyd were going to the store as she could not be trusted with the stove anymore.

Marsha burning lobster...next time it could be the house!

And of course the car will only take one sim or all sims on an outing (there should really be a way to send two sims out and leave the rest at home).

Floyd really enjoyed restocking the shelves (few as they were they did not tax his strength too much...Round Barn is really a small establishment).

The men pointed Marsha to the dart board where she could stay out of trouble.

That did not keep her occupied for long and she began mingling with the customers.

As you can see, Melody Tinker is not very understanding of Marsha's dementia.

Things really turned ugly when Marsha decided to prank Melody.

Melody was not amused.

Needless to say, it was not a customer star day at Round Barn and Amar decided he should leave Floyd home with Marsha in the future. Perhaps soon the business will grow large enough to support an employee.

So, for now, the family is surviving on Esther's salary, Amar's meager take from Round Barn and Marsha and Floyd's pensions. At least they have a nice home.

Note: Marsha's actions were entirely her own in this episode. I was busy watching the business and looked outside and saw Marsha engaging in her unique brand of customer relations.

Comments:
There is a way to leave some sims at home while some go to the community lot. When everyone gets the "go to community lot" in their que, just cancel the action. That's how I do it anyway.
